Lady fingers

Lady fingers for all beautiful ladies (and gentlemen) :)



You will need:
4 eggs, separated
90 g ( 2/3 cup)plain flour
pinch of salt
115 g (1/2 cup)granulated sugar
2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) vanilla essence
icing sugar for sprinkling



1. Preheat the oven to 150 C/ 300 F.
2. Sift the flour and salt together twice
3. With an electric mixer, beat the egg yolks with half of the sugar until thick enough to leave a ribbon trail when beaters are lifted.
4. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat in the remaining sugar until glossy.
5. Sift the flour over the yolks and spoon a large dollop of egg whites over the flour. Carefully fold in with a large metal spoon, adding the vanilla essence. Gently fold in the remaining whites.



6. Spoon the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large plain nozzle. Pipe lines on the baking sheets. sift over a layer of icing sugar.



7. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until crusty on the outside but soft in the centre. Cool slightly on the baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.

90 g brašna
Prstohvat soli
115 g šećera
2.5 ml esencije vanilije
Šećer u prahu za posipanje

1. Prethodno ugrijte pećnicu na 150 C
2. Prosijte brašno i sol
3. S mikserom posebno izmiksajte žumanjke s pola šećera dok nije dovoljno čvrsta smjesa da se može oblikovati
4. U drugoj posudi izmiksajte bjelanjke da se odvajaju od posude, te dodajte drugu polovicu šećera. Miksajte dok se šećer ne izradi
5. Umiješajte brašno u žumanjke i lagano, žlicu po žlicu dodavajte bjelanjke i esenciju vanilije, lagano miješajući.
6. Smjesom napunite špricu za kolače sa širokim nastavkom i na masnom papiru onlikujte piškote. Pospite kolačiće prije pečenja sa šećerom u prahu.
7. Pecite oko 15-20 minuta dok se na površini ne stvori krhka korica, ali moraju ostati meki iznutra. Ohladite.

homemade nutella

Nutella is queen of all chocolate spreads. The only thing better than nutella is chocolate - nut spread that you do in your own the kitchen, with healthy ingredients. Trust me, you won't be disappointed :)



First you will need:

100 g hazelnuts
150 ml of condensed milk
 2 tablespoons of honey
 2 tablespoons brown sugar (if you like a sweeter, increase sugar or honey)
100 g cooking chocolate (at least 50% cocoa)
1 tablespoon of cocoa
100 g milk chocolate (I used one with a filling of hazelnut praline)

Now, first spread the nuts on a baking sheet and toast the nuts in a 350ºF (180ºC) oven, stirring a few times, for 10 to 15 minutes, until the hazelnuts are browned.



Then warm the milk in a small saucepan with the honey and sugar just until it starts to boil. Remove from heat.

Next, set bowl over a pan of barely simmering water, or in a microwave oven, melt the chocolates together until smooth.

When hazelnuts are well-toasted, remove them from the oven and use a spatula to place them in a clean tea towel, then fold them inside the towel and rub them vigorously to remove any loose skins.In a food processor, grind the warm hazelnuts until they’re as fine as possible.




Add the melted chocolate and continue to process the mixture




Once the mixture is smooth, add the warm milk mixture and process until everything is well-combined.




Transfer the mixture into two jars and refrigerate until ready to use.


Domaća nutella




Sastojci
100 g lješnjaka
150 ml kondenziranog mlijeka
2 žlice meda
2 žlice smeđeg šećera (ako volite slađe, ili povećajte med))
100 g čokolade za kuhanje (nek bude bar 50 % kakaa)
1 žlica kakaa
100 g mliječne čokolade (ja uzela iz lidla onu s punjenjem od lješnjaka, 3 kn dođe :))

Priprema
 1. Lješnjake stavimo u pećnicu, kako bi se ispekli (paziti da ne potamne) i kako bi lakše skinuli kožicu s njih.
2. Kad su pečeni, protrljamo rukama ili krpom ili puhnemo i na taj način skinemo kožicu. Stavimo ih u multipraktik. i miksamo dok se od njih ne napravi pasta. budite uporni!
3. Otopimo čokolade i kakao na pari, a u drugoj posudi pomiješamo mlijeko, med i šećer, te stavimo da malo zakuha na vatri.
4. dodamo prvo otopljenu čokoladu u multipraktik. Smiksamo.
5. zatim dodamo  prohlađeno mlijeko. I miksamo dok ne postane homogena i relativno gusta  smjesa.
6. sipamo u teglice i pokušamo ne pojesti sve od jednom :)
