We call it Halves (Polutke) and you can call it whatever you want :)
What you neet is:
Potatoes (amount is whatever you want)
salt
pan and an oven.
simple, right?
So you peel of potatoes, cut in half, salt it, and arrange it on the pan (no need for any kind of oil or butter or anything).Put it in the preheated oven.
Wait until they are soft and baked.
We like it with cottage cheese and sour milk (I'm not sure what's the proper name in english language, maybe clotted cream, but we call it kajmak, or mileram)
You like potato and I like potahto, You like tomato and I like tomahto
Potato, potahto, Tomato, tomahto, Let's call the whole thing off
Potato, potahto, Tomato, tomahto, Let's call the whole thing off
Kajmak is Sour Cream...but their is very good cheese cream who is great with potato halves..great post!
