Well, at least this cake is not calorie - bomb, so you don't have to feel much guilt after eating it :)
Ingredients
8-10 apples (depending on the size of a pan)
8-10 tablespoons of jam
8-10 tablespoons of ground walnuts
raisins (optional)
Tip: jam, walnuts and raisins depend on the size od apples, if they are bigger you'll need more tbsoons, the trick is to fill them to top.
Biscuit
5 eggs
5 tablespoons sugar
2 Tbsp of flour
2 teaspoon of baking powder
1 package of vanilla sugar (12 g)
Cream
80 g of vanilla pudding powder (2 packages)
800 ml of milk
6 tablespoons sugar
For decoration, optional
chocolate glaze or whipping cream, or nothing :)
Peel and core apples so you have a whole inside of each apple, like this:
Oil a baking pan and sprinkle with sugar. Place the apples to each other (tip: in each apple hole place one small peace of an apple, so your filling doesn't leak out) and fill each hole with jam, ground nuts and raisins. Place it in preheated oven.
Meanwhile, place egg whites and yolks in two separated bowls. Mix egg whites. Then mix yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar until it's smooth. Add flour, baking powder and egg whites. Put aside.
When apples are softened, remove them out of the oven, coat them with the biscuits batter and return to oven. Bake until it's golden brown.
Take a plate (bigger than a pan), protect your hands and hold the plate and pan firmly together, quickly and carefully flip the pan and the plate so that the pan is on top. Tap the pan sharply a few times all round with a wooden spoon, then lift off. The cake should be left on the serving plate with the apples on top.
While the cake is cooling, make a pudding. Place 500 ml milk in saucepan over low heat and in the remaining 300 ml milk mix pudding powder and sugar. When the milk starts to boil, add pudding mixture and stir well until it's cooked. Spread the pudding over the cake and decorate with whipping cream or chocolate glaze.
Place in refrigerator, and wait, it's worth it :)
